
About Me
I am Andrea Tramper (she/her/hers), a licensed clinical social worker with over 17 years of experience, providing virtual counseling and therapy services from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I am passionate about working from a whole person approach to well-being and health. I believe people are the experts in their own care needs and therapeutic support should enhance quality of life. My approach to care involves partnering with my patients, facilitating in a deeper understanding of and relationship with the self for change making, and psychoeducation. I believe in an “always be learning” modality; both through being current on research and literature, and from my patients.
My knowledge and experience includes IFS (Internal Family Systems), ADHD, perinatal mood disorders, birth trauma, PTSD and trauma informed care, depression and anxiety, Women’s Health including perimenopause, generalized Anxiety, Grief and Loss, and EMDR. My passion areas are the use of EMDR and IFS for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other traumas.
I have experience and training in child welfare, emergency department care, the primary care setting, medical weight loss and bariatric surgery, suicide assessment and prevention, perinatal and postpartum care, community living support aide, and facilitating educational and support groups.
